CIMC Intermodal Equipment provides sales, marketing, parts, and specialty design to meet the needs of US-based intermodal customers.

Streamline Business Processes and Allow Customer Forecasting and Data Access

CIMC Intermodal Equipment was managing sales, marketing, and support functions without a centralized comprehensive CRM solution. Quote and order management processes were tracked through a system of spreadsheets. These manual processes were complicated and labor intensive, and made it difficult to gain insight into customer data and accurately forecast sales.

CIMC IE Engaged with Plus Consulting to develop a CRM solution that would automate their quotes and ordering processes, and provide them a complete view of their customers’ information. Infor CRM was the natural choice as it would seamlessly integrate with CIMC’s existing Syteline ERP system. Plus customized this new solution to precisely replicate CIMC’s existing quoting and configurator processes in Infor CRM.

The new Infor CRM/Syteline solution provides CIMC with access to real-time customer, quote, and order data from any device, at any time. This instant access to a complete, holistic view of their customers, enabling them to provide a best-in-class sales experience. By implementing Infor CRM across their organization, CIMC has ensured that their front-office and back-office processes now work in concert with each other. The solution went live in November of 2018, and CIMC quickly gained a tremendous amount of visibility into their customers, quotes, and orders.
